About Ascee

Acoustic problems often don’t become apparent until the prototype stage, resulting in costly delays. ASCEE turns this process on its head. We combine numerical simulations with targeted lab measurements to predict acoustic behavior early on, backed by validated models and precise data.

Dr. Anne de Jong, M.S. in Engineering

Physicist and specialist in numerical acoustics

Anne de Jong studied Mechanical Engineering and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Twente on the numerical modeling of thermoacoustic systems. As the founder of ASCEE, he translates physical theory directly into concrete applications for R&D teams. He builds finite element models (FEM) in COMSOL Multiphysics®, models in Python, and reduces computation times through smart model design. In addition, he develops measurement systems, such as the µZ impedance bus system, to precisely characterize materials at the microscale.

Comsol Certified

Recognized expertise in multiphysical and acoustic simulations

As an official COMSOL Certified Consultant, ASCEE possesses in-depth expertise in numerical modeling within COMSOL Multiphysics®, particularly at the intersection of acoustics and structural mechanics. We build physics-based models for applications such as acoustics-structure interaction, thermoviscous effects in narrow channels, and wave propagation in layered media. Because we systematically validate our simulations using measurements from our own lab, we provide reliable data that allows you to directly optimize your design parameters.

Acoustic and FEM Simulations

Test your design virtually in COMSOL and optimize its acoustic performance before having physical prototypes built.

Material Characterization in the Lab

Measure the exact absorption and resistance of materials and eliminate assumptions from your acoustic calculations.

Microacoustics and Hearables

Control the acoustic behavior of miniature channels and mesh to ensure clear sound reproduction in your product.

Laboratory measurements and model validation

Validate simulation models using calibrated measurement data to ensure that prototypes meet the requirements.

Custom Software and Calculation Tools

Speed up your R&D cycle with automated analysis tools and Python scripts for fast, error-free data processing.

Acoustic Problem Analysis

Identify the exact source of annoying noise or vibrations and receive targeted adjustments for your design.

Submit your acoustics-related question directly to our engineers

Are you stuck on a resonance problem, looking for validation of a design choice, or interested in incorporating numerical modeling into your development process? During an in-depth discussion, we’ll immediately address the physics behind your application. Together, we’ll assess which analysis, simulation, or lab measurement is needed to help your engineering team move forward.
